AVP or VP, Accounting Specialist, Japanese Bilingual Preferred Job Num: 57179 h5Job DescriptionThe position is responsible for all accounting and finance management issues for the company's business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial books and records, performing monthly/quarterly closing, performing monthly GL account and process reconciliations, assisting with customer billing and customer payment applications in the loan/lease accounting system, and overall review of loan and lease transactions. The role also entails taking part in internal/external audits and maintaining compliance with company rules and regulations. To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of 8 years of accounting experience in the financial industry is preferred, along with staff management experience.Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, and Japanese language skills would be a plus.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related major or equivalent, MA/MS/MBA preferredWorking experience in financial services is required.Team management experience is required.Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) requiredStrong accounting and analytical skills are requiredHighly detail-oriented with an aptitude and desire to learn new products, conduct research, and display critical thinking and problem-solving skills.M.S.
