DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

These 2 needs are part of the new modernization project at DWD. The PMs will be leading the staff in the development, maintenance and support of critical applications for the Division of Unemployment Insurance.

Candidates will play an integral role on self-directed work teams in support of high-priority development projects. Project work will include application architecture design and development, integration with 3rd party software, data conversion, new development and modifications to existing code. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in leading projects which include designing, creating, and maintaining web services, system integration, and web development.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with familiarity with State of Wisconsin application systems, procedures, and development standards, and agile scrum development methodology.

DWD is currently allowing remote work from home. The contractor will be required to be available online, be present to meet all workload requirements, and must be available to attend all scheduled meetings during DWD standard working hours of 7:45 am - 4:30 pm Central Time. DWD can make changes or modifications to this arrangement with reasonable advance notice.

NOTE: DWD prefers that the selected hire reside in the greater Madison area. The contractor must be available to work onsite in DWD Madison, WI headquarters (GEF-1 location) at DWD's request, including consecutive weekdays or extended periods, without reimbursement for travel, lodging, or parking expenses.
