Hyundai's North America Quality Center (NAQC) is looking for a Data Analyst for the Strategy and Analysis Team The Team: NAQC is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group (HMG)'s North American vehicle models. The Position: The Data Analyst would support business operations by analyzing data, identifying trends, developing reports, and delivering actionable insights that drive quality improvements on Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia NA vehicles, in addition to collaborating with cross-functional and global teams to monitor quality issues, analyze external quality indicators and customer data, and escalate emerging quality cases Job description:

The Position: The Data Analyst would support business operations by analyzing data, identifying trends, developing reports, and delivering actionable insights that drive quality improvements on Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia NA vehicles, in addition to collaborating with cross-functional and global teams to monitor quality issues, analyze external quality indicators and customer data, and escalate emerging quality cases What You Will Do:
Understand and follow the departments business model, strategic direction, purpose, and mission Utilize internal and external data to identify and break down automotive quality problems. Deliver clear problems with targets for the Investigation and New Model Teams to investigate. Utilize text mining tools for generating topics and/or enriching existing datasets with generated features classification tasks Maintain reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions Complete ad hoc data insights/requests as needed to support company goals Communicate results and business impacts within the team and to management Engage in on-the-job learning and follow best data practices Travel up to 10% of the time, both domestically and internationally What You Will Bring to the Role:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in data science, computer science, business analytics, economics, mathematics, statistics, an engineering-related discipline, or a related field of study 0-7 years of experience working with/performing data analysis and creating forecasting models Proficiency in SQL Experience with Python and/or R Familiarity withvarious data preparation and analytics tools, text mining tools, and data visualization software An ability to recognize the needs of the end-user(s) and create reproducible solutions that answer those needs quickly and efficiently Adept in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word A strong analytical mindset Excellent time management, self-management, and organization skills Good written, oral, and interpersonal skills Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in data science, computer science, business analytics, economics, mathematics, statistics, an engineering-related discipline, or a related field of study Automotive engineering experience Knowledge of vehicle systems Experience working with and analyzing automotive survey data Familiarity with Alteryx and Tableau
