Responsibilities
We anticipate future opportunities in the following areas: - Financial reporting - The Financial Reporting team at GM Financial is dedicated to excellence and efficient reporting. - Technical accounting - The Technical Accounting team at GM Financial is dedicated to delivering expertise?to support accounting for new products, accounting standards changes and fast-changing developments in our business. - Audit - The Audit team is responsible for independently evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the control structure for both enabling and operating departments within GM Financial North America. - Financial Assurance - Our Financial Assurance team facilitates the compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Regulation AB (Reg AB) requirements?for GM Financial.? - General Ledger - The General Ledger team at GM Financial plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. As part of this team, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, managing and maintaining the core accounting records that support our business. - Tax -The Indirect Tax team encompasses non-income taxes which include sales, use, property, business license taxes and unclaimed property reporting.
Qualifications
What makes you the dream candidate? - Strong written and oral communication skills - Proven Microsoft Office Skills with focus on Excel proficiency - Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with other team members - Must be extremely detail oriented - Demonstrated skill in solving complex issues, both financial and in spreadsheet situations - Must be deadline oriented and be able to work under pressure with tight time deadlines - Advanced analytical skills are required Experience - 2+ years in accounting (Public or Industry), financial controls, audit or similar role required - Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance required Licenses - CPA or CFE certifications completed or in progress
