Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Mortgage Loan Processor plays a key role in reviewing, organizing and submitting mortgage loan files in accordance with applicable company and investor guidelines. This position involves working closely with members, origination staff, underwriters and external partners such as real estate professionals and vendors. This position requires a consistent display of friendly and professional support while following policy and procedures to meet or exceed production goals and service level agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process residential mortgage loans in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures, while maintaining current knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements-local, state, federal, and investor. Obtain and review required loan documentation including but not limited to AUS findings, flood, appraisal, and title work. Ensure the accuracy and completion of data and documentation, fulfill outstanding underwriting conditions by working with members, real estate agents and/or builders. Effectively communicate with loan originators, buyers, sellers, third-party vendors, and real estate agents as needed. Maintain a pipeline of mortgage loans and showcase the ability to multi-task and facilitate loan closings within predicted time frames. Work in tandem with loan officers and loan officer assistants in ensuring timely follow up and communication. Support the creation and upkeep of role-specific procedures and documentation. Provide collaborative support to Credit Union staff and real estate team members as needed. Maintain knowledge of branch operations by completing Deposit Regulation and Product and Service Certification courses. Proactively demonstrate the TVFCU core values of integrity, honesty, flexibility, teamwork, leadership, accountability and strong relationships in every interaction with members. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred, along with a minimum of 3 years of lending experience, with a strong emphasis on mortgage processing. Thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; familiarly with Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS) preferred. Must be accurate, detail oriented, and organized. Strong communication skills, both written and spoken; bilingual skills are preferred. Demonstrates commitment to professional ethics, including but not limited to adherence to all State and Federal regulations Must be comfortable engaging in frequent interpersonal conversation with others inside and/or outside of TVFCU, for purposes of information exchange, relationship building, fostering collaboration, etc. Must be able to be bonded and meet Safe Act Requirements, including but not limited to registration or licensure via the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) If you are considered for an offer of employment at TVFCU, you must successfully complete a pre-employment screen that includes:
