Human Resources Generalist
We are hiring a Human Resources Generalist at the Stewart's Shops Corporate Office in Ballston Spa, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who enjoys working with peoplebut is also interested in numbers, systems, and technology. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in how data and technology help support HR decisions. Responsibilities
Assist in processing our weekly payroll for 5,500 partners. Support the pre-employment hiring process, including overseeing background checks, drug testing, and onboarding documentation across our districts. Respond to general HR, payroll, and benefits questions from partners and managers. Run and maintain HR reports, helping to ensure accurate tracking of key HR metrics (e.g., hires, pay, and turnover trends). Serve as a liaison between HR, IT, and external vendors when working on HR system (HRIS) issues or projects. Assist with HRIS upgrades, testing, and training support for end users. Help maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data within the HRIS. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred. Interest in Human Resources, with a curiosity about data, systems, and process improvement. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Experience working with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets). Willingness to learn payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and reporting tools (training will be provided). Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Strong communication skills in order to support our shop partners with payroll and HR questions. We Offer
