Extrusion Operator - 2nd Shift

Position Title: Extrusion Operator - 2nd Shift Wage: $18.50/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:30pm - 11:30pm Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! Extrusion Operator Responsibilities:

- Operate, start up and shut down an extrusion line in accordance with procedures - Monitor extrusion equipment (extruder, cooling tank, puller, saw, and secondary equipment) and make adjustments to ensure product quality and production efficiency - Perform tooling changeovers as needed - Conduct first-piece inspections and ongoing quality checks, ensuring products meet established specifications - Complete required documentation and maintain accurate production records - Handle and manage raw materials, including resin, ensuring proper usage and feeding into the extruder - Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report issues to the extrusion technician - Move, stack and transport materials and tooling within the facility using pallet jacks or forklifts Requirements for Extrusion Operator:

- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in plastics or extrusion preferred - At least one year experience as an Extrusion Operator or in a related manufacturing role (or equivalent combination of education/experience) - Forklift certification required or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire - Strong verbal communication and ability to work independently or in a team environment - Basic math skills for measuring, calculating and adjusting machine settings - Ability to use precision measuring tools and mechanical equipment - Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to follow instructions, processes and safety procedures consistently - Knowledge of extrusion processes, materials, and machine operation is a plus - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to maintain accurate records - Familiarity with OSHA and environmental regulations preferred
