Job Summary
The Project Manager at Shoals is responsible for end-to-end management of external-facing projects and will provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams comprised of business stakeholders. This role will be a member of the Shoals Project Management team and help manage project and order fulfillment processes across our customer portfolio. It will require the use of good judgement and skill to execute a project management approach that is suitable for planning and managing the effort. This role works closely alongside Sales Account Executives and will require the use of effective communication to ensure customer requirements are managed and fulfilled. The role will also require a consultative approach to engage the appropriate people, processes, tools and to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This role will act as a team builder to promote empowerment of the team, creating a safe environment for failing fast and learning, engagement and participation of team members and encourage a sustainable pace that can maintain quality.
Responsibilities
Lead medium-to-large scale external-facing projects from contract negotiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within scope. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate activities to ensure seamless collaboration between customer and cross-functional departments. Facilitate regular check-ins, team meetings and stakeholder reviews, with status and risk reporting to management as needed. Strongly prioritize timely responses to customers and departmental inquiries. Track project performance, proactively identify and address blocking issues via corrective action and/or escalation. Support change management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Coordinate deliverables from the various teams to accompany production dates, shipment releases, etc. Assist with "hands-on" requests and assignments as needed. Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and stewardship, setting an example for team members. Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, or related field (Master's preferred) 1-year minimum experience required, 3-5+ years of project management experience preferred Preferred:
PMP, CAPM or similar certification Proficiency with MS Project and Smartsheet Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience Skills Required:
Highly effective interpersonal skills including collaboration and team building Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands Knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools such as MS Office Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view. Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with customer and business individuals at all levels.
