Sales Operations Specialist

The Sales Operations Specialist serves as a strategic partner within the sales organization, responsible for driving sales effectiveness, optimizing sales processes, and managing cross-functional initiatives that align with organizational goals. They are responsible for sales onboarding, reporting, CRM data integrity, and special projects while fostering collaboration across departments. This individual plays a pivotal role in scaling a high-performing sales culture, supporting business development, and ensuring operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and streamlined systems. The Sales Operations Specialist must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be challenged by a role with the opportunity to: Sales Operations Participate in weekly sales team meetings and pipeline calls; develop agendas and ensure accountability. Drive local sales initiatives, including developing and managing sales contests Partner with business leaders and producers to align goals and share insights. Support disparate CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Applied Epic) Sales Reporting & Analytics Design, maintain, and audit sales and retention reporting using CRM, Power BI and related analytics tools. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of sales metrics to leadership. Provide forecasting, commission analysis, and new and recurring revenue tracking in coordination with Finance. Administer and optimize integrations between CRM, marketing automation, and other sales tools to streamline lead flow and reporting. Ad-hoc reporting. CRM & Data Management Oversee data integrity and user support within CRM systems (e.g., D365, Salesforce, EPIC). Implement data cleansing, deduplication, segmentation, and reporting processes. Support CRM users with ongoing training and development. Continuously evaluate and improve sales workflows, enablement assets, and process automation to support seller productivity. Broker Request for Proposal (RFP) Process Assist in the RFP process: create aesthetically formatted proposals, manage RFP 360 responses, and collaborate with internal stakeholders. Marketing & Technology Integration Collaborate with Marketing on campaign execution by managing lead lists, segmenting target audiences, and tracking Market Qualified Leads (MQLs) within CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua). Administer and optimize prospecting tools (Zywave, MiEdge, ZoomInfo, Dun & Bradstreet) to ensure clean, compliant data and maximize campaign effectiveness. Support alignment between sales and marketing teams by monitoring campaign performance, resolving communication errors (e.g., unsubscribes, delivery failures), and maintaining email folder systems and status updates. Project Management & Special Initiatives Act as project manager for special initiatives, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with strategic goals. Conduct independent research, analyze data, and present findings that inform leadership decisions. Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new hires or temporary team members. Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements: Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Able to interact effectively with people of various responsibilities and authority (employees, key contacts, outside vendors, leaders). Comfortable in group settings. Proven project management experience with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with CRM systems (D365, Salesforce, EPIC), Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI), Prospecting Tools (MiEdge/Zywave, ZoomInfo), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Seismic. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and influence outcomes. Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to align business strategy with operational execution. Education, Training, and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. 2+ years in sales operations, business development, and enablement. Experience in the employee benefits or insurance brokerage industry preferred. Prior experience with large data sets, reporting, and customer segmentation highly desirable. The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $55,000 to $65,000 per year. Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company's performance.
