Purpose/Summary
Join our Front Desk Assistant Team and serve in a multi-functional support role in the Business Pathway!
As part of the Business Pathway working on the Front Desk Team, you will provide a welcoming & inclusive office space. You will providing visitors, faculty, and office staff administrative support and work on special projects, On occasion, we will also support the faculty and staff from other pathways. Duties and Responsibilities Professionally greet people and guide them to resources. Keep shared offices spaces clean & tidy. Maintain office procedures and organization. Assist with various projects like doing basic data entry using MS Office software or supporting Pathway Events. Effectively use a shared office email and phone. Run errands on campus as needed. Stock supplies and utilize printer/copier. Attend team meetings, participate in ongoing training, and perform additional duties as needed. • Utilize a Customer Service mindset for an inclusive office environment. • Use Initiative and Time Management skills to be productive. • Employ basic computer skills to utilize Microsoft Office products. • Use honesty, integrity, and respect in your work. • Use professional verbal and written communication skills. • Be punctual, reliable, and dependable. • Proactively address schedule as it relates to academic rigor or personal appointments. Qualifications • Attention to detail in completing office tasks • Adaptability if department needs change • Respect and Integrity when working on potentially sensitive topics • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills • Willingness to learn on the job and to train other peers on the team when needed • Develop curiosity to identify problems and adaptability & resilience to solve problems • Develop a sense of ownership and advocacy • Periodic reviews including 2 weeks after hire date and monthly thereafter Supplemental Information
The work-study will support the Dean, Chairs, Faculty, Instructors and Students primarily in the Business Pathway.
Some support will also be provided to Chairs, Faculty, Instructors and Students from various other pathways who are also located in the office suite.
