Join our innovative, world-class team today!Position Specific DescriptionEmployees in this position are responsible for maintaining overall SCADA availability and performance, industrial automation and control of wind sites, equipment health and performance, and operational data flow for NextEra renewable generation assets. The successful candidate will have a sense of accountability and urgency required to make informed decisions regarding safety, regulatory compliance, system integrity, and engineering complexity under limited supervision. Job Duties & Responsibilities:Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously, from conception through continuous operationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, engineering, construction, supply chain, operations, finance, and ITDesign and develop advanced automation solutions for wind farm operations including selection of appropriate control system hardware and software as well as maintaining detailed documentationProvide ongoing support and maintenance for automated systemsContinuously monitor and analyze the performance of automation systems to identify areas for improvement, implementing upgrades and modifications to enhance system efficiency and reliabilityEnsure all automation solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, and corporate policiesPromote a strong safety culture and adhere to all safety guidelines and practicesCompletes assignments given in broad terms concerning general objectives and limitationsDisplays strong communication and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced operational environment, with some aspects of research and developmentCompletes assignments given in broad terms concerning general objectives and limitationsPerforms system testing and documentation for control system changes and upgradesProvides technical leadership in the functional specification, design and implementation of control solutionsTravels to wind sites occasionally for onsite troubleshooting support and project executionQualifications:Experience: 3+ years in related fieldsExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with power generation equipment, power fundamentals, and control schemesProficiency in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and HMI developmentKnowledge of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDesired Qualifications:Certified Professional Engineer (PE)Six Sigma Certified - Yellow or Green BeltBachelor's Degree - EngineeringJob OverviewEmployees in this role have responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
