Talascend is currently seeking a

Lead HVAC Technician

for a contract opportunity with our client in

Andover, Massachusetts .

Overview

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The technician ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and GMP regulations (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, VAVs, exhaust fans, ductwork, and refrigerant lines Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment according to CMMS schedules Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems and determine the most effective repair methods Adjust system controls to recommended settings and test performance Respond to work orders and emergency calls in a timely manner Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities Work collaboratively with building maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors Follow proper Lockout/Tagout procedures and other site safety protocols Support equipment change-outs, system upgrades, and new installations Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred EPA Section 608 Certification required 3+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair (preferably in a commercial or industrial setting) Requirements

Valid HVAC License (if required by local/state regulations) Strong understanding of HVAC systems, refrigerants, controls, and safety standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Familiarity with GMP standards and cleanroom environments is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions (heights, tight spaces, roof work, etc.) Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills May require shift work, weekends, or on-call coverage Frequent exposure to hot, cold, and noisy environments Use of PPE as required

10pm-6:30am, Tues-Sat (3rd Shift)
