Corvaers Senior Bookkeeper manages financial data, ensures accuracy of financial information, and oversees accounting processes, often including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. They will also collaborate with the international finance team and supervise other team members as it pertains to invoicing and collections and contribute to process improvements. Core Responsibilities: Financial Data Management:Ensuring the integrity of financial data by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions. Month-End Close:Preparing and analyzing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and finalizing financial statements. Account Reconciliations:Reconciling general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, liability accounts, and asset accounts. Financial Reporting:Preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Supervision: May supervise accounting assistants, bookkeepers, or junior accountants, assigning tasks and providing guidance. Audits: Participating in external audits, preparing work papers, and addressing audit inquiries. Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes and systems. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Specific Tasks and Activities: Responsibility for invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Preparing and reviewing journal entries. Maintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts. Summarizing financial status and preparing financial reports. Managing the payroll and benefits process and/or a PEO relationship. Securing financial information and maintaining database backups. Protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential. Participating in the development of accounting policies and procedures. Communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and solve problems. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Supervisory Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team. Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems especially Epicor and QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. Attention to Detail: Accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues independently. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ethical Standards: Maintaining high ethical standards in all work. This position does not require a CPA or masters degree.
