We are seeking a proactive Quality Engineer to lead efforts in improving product and process quality across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain functions. This role focuses on root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and driving continuous improvement using tools like PFMEA and 8D. You will support audits, resolve non-conformances, and present quality metrics to leadership and customers. This position will be located onsite in Foley, AL. Relocation assistance is available. What You Will Do: Support product and process quality engineering by establishing quality plans, root cause analysis, and driving corrective/preventive actions Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to enhance product quality and optimize processes Support internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer-specific quality audits, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and defects, implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence Provide leadership and mentoring in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing methodologies Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and KPIs to senior leadership and customers Drive containment and problem resolution through to completion for customer and internal escapes Utilizes Advance Quality Planning techniques (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, 8-D and Control Plans, etc.) to identify risks and propose mitigation solutions Participate in real-time problem resolution with production and Quality Clinic teams Provide support related to the collection and analysis of Program quality data on top issues including scrap, rework, and repair (SSR) Position may be required to travel up to but not limited to 25% Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field Experience with problem solving tools such as Red X, 8D, Fault Tree, 5-why Qualifications We Prefer: Experience working in a central quality or shop floor manufacturing Experience in aerospace manufacturing SAP experience SPC expertise Inspection experience Experience with Data analytics APQP and PPAP expertise Experience working in an AS9100 environment Experience successfully leading complex projects Our Advanced Structures team leverages advanced materials and additive manufacturing to develop complex interior and exterior solutions.
