JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Greet and interact with customers. Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise. Assist with customers orders by loading and unloading products as needed. Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse. Assemble products and displays. Safely and regularly operate a vehicle to make deliveries, visit various worksites, other businesses or customer locations. Safely operate and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, equipment & facilities (delivery truck, forklift, pallet jack, etc.). Dispense propane and kerosene. Operate fuel station dispensers and equipment. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships. Practice punctual and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent. Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record. Commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service. Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stoop and kneel frequently. Physical ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds. Professional appearance and demeanor. Proven track record of being dependable and reliable. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails. Professional appearance and demeanor. Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies. Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. SCHEDULE This is a part time position; 16 24 hours per week (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $17.25 $19.80/hour.
