Job Summary:
The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center is seeking a reliable, skilled, and service-oriented
Maintenance Technician
to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and associates.
Key Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and exterior of the property Troubleshoot and repair issues in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and carpentry Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies with a professional and guest-focused attitude Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean, and working condition Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruptions and maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and building codes Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus Minimum 2 years of experience in a hotel, commercial, or residential maintenance role Working knowledge of HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders, and perform physical tasks as needed Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Excellent communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays What We Offer:
