2nd Shift Industrial Mechanic (Level 2)

PrideStaff is searching on behalf of a food manufacturer in West Palm Beach for an Industrial Mechanic (Level 2). This is a full-time, hourly position on the 2nd shift.
Summary:
The Industrial Mechanic (Level 2) is responsible for maintaining the efficient and reliable operation of the production line by independently repairing, maintaining, and installing both automated and manual equipment. This role contributes to the company's operational excellence by ensuring equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Sanitation Practices (GSP), and all safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor production lines and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
Rebuild component parts of machinery when necessary.
Follow the preventative maintenance program by doing the assigned work and filling out the proper paperwork.
Inspect and report potential equipment failure to the Supervisor.
Work closely with Machine Operators, Production Managers, and Sanitation to keep the machinery in the best possible running condition.
Follow food safety rules, plant GMPs, and safe working practices.
Must be able to work flexible schedules which includes nights and weekends.
Pursue CARO certification. Qualifications:
A solid understanding of industrial mechanical principles for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing a variety of production equipment.
Extensive experience working with pneumatic systems and industrial-level electrical control systems.
Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, disassembling, and reassembling mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, pumps, and air cylinders.
Strong ability to troubleshoot control circuits, interpret wiring diagrams, and work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), servo control systems, and motor starters.
Ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical documents, including safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance instructions, and equipment manuals.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a production environment.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $29.00 - $30.00 Per Hour
