Overview Of The Financial Controller Role
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including complex journal entries and reconciliations Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards Manage tax planning, filings, audits, and financial forecasting Lead the budgeting process and monitor financial performance against budget Enhance internal controls, financial policies, and operational procedures Serve as a key liaison for external auditors, providing documentation and insights
Preferred Qualifications For The Financial Controller
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
