SK Guns, the U.S. manufacturer of series-driven, limited-edition, custom firearms, announced Kirk Stanton as its new director of operations. Stanton joins SK Guns and SK Customs as an experienced law enforcement official and firearms manufacturer. In his new role, Stanton will oversee daily operations and develop strategies to improve functionality and productivity at SK Guns and SK Customs. He is responsible for setting expectations across all departments to foster a cohesive and agile workflow. “We are very excited for Kirk to join our team,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns. “The experience that he brings to the table is exactly what we need as we continue to grow and expand our team and our capabilities.” Stanton’s career began with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, where he dedicated 10 years of service, including five years on tactical teams. His commitment to excellence in high-pressure situations has equipped him with the leadership qualities necessary for his new position. Following his tenure in law enforcement, Stanton became the owner/operator of Woody’s Gunworks Firearms Refinishing for five years, honing his skills in firearms craftsmanship and customer service. In 2023, he made the decision to return to his hometown in New York but soon realized that Florida was where he truly belonged, prompting his return to the state. Most recently, Stanton served as the general manager of Top Gun Supply in St. Augustine, FL, where he further developed his operational and management skills. The appointment of Stanton as director of operations comes as the company continues to expand its capacity to produce custom collector’s firearms by expanding its personnel, as well as the upcoming completion of its 20,000-square-foot headquarters.
