Outpatient Psychiatrist - Academic Faculty Position

Albany Medical Center is excited to announce an opportunity for an Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our esteemed Department of Psychiatry faculty. This full-time outpatient role offers a supportive environment with flexible hours from Monday to Friday. The department boasts a comprehensive 26-bed acute inpatient unit, a consultation-liaison service for hospital-wide care, an outpatient psychiatry teaching clinic, and an integrated care program across multiple clinical sites. We are proud to lead an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program hosting 28 residents, while also training Albany Medical College medical and physician assistant students, along with psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows. Key Responsibilities Include: Providing direct psychiatric care to adults in both hospital-based and outpatient settings. Conducting consultations in the hospital and emergency room. Administering ECT and TMS treatments. Teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and medical students. Engaging in research and quality improvement initiatives. Participating in the weekend department call schedule with additional compensation. We offer a competitive starting salary ranging from $240,000 to $250,000, negotiable based on academic rank and experience. The
