Outpatient Psychiatrist - Assistant/Associate Professor Opportunity

Albany Medical Center is actively seeking a skilled Outpatient Psychiatrist to become a valued member of our Department of Psychiatry faculty. This full-time outpatient position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with flexibility to meet your needs. Our department is equipped with a 26-bed acute inpatient unit, a consultation-liaison service providing care throughout the hospital, and an outpatient psychiatry teaching clinic. We offer an integrated care program across multiple clinical sites. Our ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program includes 28 residents and provides training for Albany Medical College medical students, physician assistants, psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct adult psychiatric care in both hospital and outpatient settings. Engage in hospital and ER consultations. Perform ECT and TMS procedures. Educate and supervise psychiatry residents and medical students. Participate in research and quality improvement projects. Contribute to weekend departmental call schedules with additional compensation available. We offer a competitive salary in the range of $240,000 to $250,000, with starting salaries negotiable based on academic rank and professional experience.
