Quality Lab Technician

The Quality Lab Technician will perform various quality lab test methods to ensure product quality. This role involves conducting tests such as manual titrations, pH measurements, conductivity, percent moisture loss, and utilizing equipment like particle size analyzers and FTIR. The technician will document and record all laboratory data and generate Certificates of Analysis (COA) after laboratory tests are completed and verified. Additionally, the technician will assist the Quality Manager with quality-related projects, such as SOP updates, validations, and QMS updates. Daily communication of quality test results to production and quality managers is essential. The technician will also assist with audits and maintain AS 9100 certification. Responsibilities: Perform various quality lab test methods to ensure product quality. Assist with audits and maintain AS 9100 certification. Essential Skills: Chemistry education or lab experience. Ability to perform titrations and pH measurements. Proficiency in quality control and laboratory procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in dealing with quality systems and processes. Strong communication skills to navigate and address growing pains as quality systems are improved. Work Environment: This position is primarily based in a quality laboratory, with 90% of the time spent performing testing. There is some office work, and occasionally, the technician will go on the floor to collect samples or assist production with batch corrections. The work schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 12 p.m. This role offers the opportunity to learn about and improve quality systems, working closely with the Quality Manager on various projects. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
