$79,000.00/hr - $135,000.00/hr Job Summary:
Echo Power has an opportunity for a self-motivated substation-focused Construction Manager looking for career growth and new opportunities. The Construction Manager will work closely with Engineers, Project Managers, Program Managers, and Site Coordinators to support turnkey projects. This is primarily a field position, with some work being conducted from home and requiring regular travel averaging 70-80% travel/ onsite work throughout the United States west coast region.
Duties And Responsibilities
Manage daily jobsite safety, including but not limited to: toolbox safety, ensuring all subcontractor safety documentation is in place, and ensuring all OSHA guidelines are followed by sub-contractor and Echo field personnel. Responsible for all required onsite State and Federal labor law postings Produce and maintain project schedules (weekly, monthly, quarterly) Responsible for all onsite quality control, including safety, site cleanliness, and all material acceptance. Facilitate daily communication with Project Manager, local utilities, subcontractors, jobsite field coordinator, and inputting daily journals in CMIC. Conduct site walks for subcontractors to facilitate bid process Develop first draft outage plans, communicate and workshop plan with subcontractors and associated utilities. Provide weekly & monthly site manpower forecasting Provide jobsite-specific Project Coordinator daily direction, as required Manage/Forecast site-specific Construction Costs Facilitate equipment inspections and tracking Obtain and manage equipment and material submittal approval in CMIC Provide technical support and make recommendations from drawing review Coordinate testing and commissioning activities Coordinate outage activities Provide required on-site presence during major construction milestones
Skills And Abilities Required
Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Documentation management and organizational skills Technical knowledge in electrical substations & construction processes is required Attention to detail under pressure Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Must display a strong work ethic Must be able to travel/be onsite at least 70-80% of the time Relevant computer skills: Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, data entry software (CMiC experience a plus)
Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred 3+ years of recent and relevant experience or- 6+ years of field experience
Preferred But Not Required
NICET/NETA certification(s) CAPM or PMP certification
Job Location:
Our main office is located in Tennessee, but this is a hybrid position with most work being conducted in the field. Candidate should live in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States within 1 hour of a commercial airport, and be able to travel at least 70% of the time.
