WTR Search - Renewables is currently seeking several Regional Wind Technicians with GE experience
to support wind sites in and around Iowa. This is a hybrid position stationed permanently at one location with regional travel required as needed. This is a full-time, permanent position with comprehensive benefits and room for growth.
Responsibilities Perform assembly, commissioning, testing, repair, and maintenance on wind turbines and related equipment at the wind farm Conduct and review safety analyses of potential electrical and mechanical hazards Support Root Cause Analyses to assist in determining equipment failure and the reasons for failures Complete required and accurate documentation associated with corrective and preventive maintenance Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and/or retrofit low to medium-voltage electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components/equipment Perform preventative maintenance activities safely and efficiently on all wind farm equipment Utilize appropriate safety gear, and protective equipment, and ensure work is performed in a safe manner Conduct safety analysis and review of hazards and energy sources while performing any work assignment on the wind farm Properly maintain tools and equipment used to perform assigned maintenance assignments Maintain required training certifications and qualifications Other responsibilities as assigned Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or GED, wind school certificate a plus Minimum of one year of hands-on wind experience Experience with GE turbines GE LOTO or GE training and GWO certifications are preferred but not required Must be willing to travel to other wind sites in the region as needed Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts as required Have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record, ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
