WTR Search - Renewables is searching for Traveling Wind Technicians
to perform tasks such as troubleshooting, assembly, and service/repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with 100% travel. Candidates must reside in Texas or Oklahoma.
Core Responsibilities: Support special projects with tasks including, but not limited to: maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, design modifications/retrofits, gen alignments, and blade repair. Follow verbal and written instructions to perform assembly, repair, and maintenance on wind turbines and associated equipment. Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records. Operate a vehicle safely and legally per company policies. Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, mopping, and wiping oil, grease, and solvent spills. Experience with a suspended platform is a plus. Flexibility to perform tasks as needed depending on the scope of the project. Complete service reporting, work order documents, and records neatly, legibly, and correctly. Ability to read schematics. Two years of hands-on wind experience GWO certification required Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese highly preferred Requires a high school diploma or GED, wind school certificate a plus Must reside in Texas or Oklahoma Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts as required Able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment Ability to move and manipulate up to 50 pounds, climb vertical ladders, and work at heights of 300 feet Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and adverse and extreme weather conditions Have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record, ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
