Job Purpose:
The Blending Associate preforms work station blending operations and oversees the general operations of the blending room. This position is responsible for maintaining the blend schedule, reaching daily goals and objectives as well as maintain a clean orderly work area.
Duties:
• Oversees and executes daily blend schedule
• Assigns Blenders and temps daily tasks
• Monitor and tracks operator progress and performance against schedule daily
• Assists Blenders in reaching goals which includes running blenders, staging, scaling and sanitation and ensures staging and scaling stay ahead and notify them with schedule changes
• Maintains daily blend summary sheet and blending performance sheet
• Works with production to ensure schedule stays on track
• Works with maintenance to ensure proper P.M.'s are completed
• Oversees general operation of the blending room
• Monitors the levels of raw materials and notifies management of possible shortages
• Ensures blending rooms are kept clean and organized
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Education or equivalent
• Up to one year related experience or training
• Knowledge of GPM's, Quality Assurance practices
• Forklift experience helpful
• Skilled in multi-tasking identifying and resolving problems, interacting in a professional manner
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule as needed which may include overtime, weekends and/or holidays as necessary
• Ability to perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as directed by management
• Able to understand formulas and mixing instructions as well as measuring and weighing raw materials
