This role involves directing the work of ramp agents responsible for unloading and loading luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. You will drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles. Physical demands include heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise lead agents; allocate ramp agent resources as needed.
Complete shift reports and clear all exceptions from the T&A system promptly.
Ensure ramp personnel adhere to established safety regulations.
Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance instructions, hazardous material labels, loading manifests, and routing tags.
Assist in baggage handling.
Operate ground support equipment as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to pass pre-employment testing including drug tests.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Capable of lifting 70 lbs comfortably.
At least one year of prior ramp experience preferred.
Ability to complete training successfully.
Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
