Responsibilities The Training Supervisor will perform as a functional trainer and be responsible for administering field station training programs for ramp operations through classroom, hands-on and verbal instruction. Assist and provide support to training management on safety, security and education through training programs; promote a “safety first” culture by introducing safe working procedures in accordance with Menzies Aviation policies and procedures. Maintain training compliance & oversight for all aspects of the Frontier Ramp operation at Denver International Airport; oversee employee training and ongoing training & compliance of ramp personnel. Receive and maintain Frontier ramp training certification, Menzies Aviation trainer certification and other certifications as needed. Unloading and loading of luggage, freight and cargo on and off commercial aircraft; driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles; perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and stretching as required. Main Accountabilities Include Effectively deliver new hire and annual recurrent training for all station personnel Deliver ramp on-the-job training (OJT) and Driver Training – Secondary OJT and other training based on qualifications Project a professional image and conduct at all times Ensure training delivery aligns to safe and secure operations per health, safety, security and government requirements Support employees and supervisors in protective and preventative measures to achieve health and safety compliance Align training with applicable Health and Safety at Work regulations to support corporate compliance Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management Participate in safety audits daily and provide corrective action assistance Complete daily shift reports and other reports as requested Attend and participate in monthly departmental meetings; attend mandatory training as required Perform other duties as required Safety, Security and Compliance Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others Fully versed in international aviation safety and security standards Co-operate with management to comply with legal requirements Do not misuse company resources related to health, safety, or welfare Inform management of any work situations that pose health and safety risks Report hazards, near misses, incidents or dangerous occurrences Work in accordance with training and health and safety rules Understand and follow the company health and safety policy Attend training courses as arranged by the Company Qualifications And Experience Must be at least 18 years of age Must pass pre-employment drug screen Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently Excellent communication skills Positive, can-do, upbeat personality; enjoy dealing with people daily Ability to remain calm under pressure Strong time management skills with minimal supervision Ability to stand for long periods in ticket counter and gate check-in areas Uphold the image and standards of the company Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal Flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays; extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word High school diploma, GED, or three years of ramp/cargo operations experience Benefits Pay: $24.50 per hour; commensurate with experience Overtime opportunities available Health plans, dental, and vision coverage; multiple plan options Paid vacation; flight benefits Insurance options including life, AD&D, disability, and voluntary coverage 401(k) savings plan; employee assistance program Prepaid legal coverage; identity theft protection Pet discount and pet insurance plans; uniform provided Working Conditions The work environment may include outdoor conditions, exposure to moving parts, high voltages, loud noise, fumes, hazardous substances, and high places.
