Commercial Real Estate Company in Santa Monica is recruiting for a Litigation Paralegal with a focus on real estate. This is a hybrid role, three days in office.
Responsibilities: Under attorney supervision and guidance:
Prepare default notices, demand letters, termination notices, relocation notices, abandonment notices and all other notices required to enforce lease covenants Correspond with tenants and tenant attorneys to resolve AR issues and other lease and legal disputes Perform due diligence reviews of leases involving relocation rights, co-tenancy provisions, radius restrictions, no-build zones, termination rights, CAM language, permitted, exclusive and restricted uses and all other rights, remedies and controls of the lease parties Initiate and monitor unlawful detainer and breach of lease actions and matters sent to collection agencies Prepare litigation evaluations, analyze collectability, pursue enforcement of judgments and assist with tenant bankruptcies Respond to Subpoenas for the Companys business records, and implement and monitor Legal Holds to retain and preserve documents in connection with claims, litigation and e-discovery Negotiate and document settlements Monitor resolution of mechanics liens and foreclosure actions, and provide legal support for construction defect litigation Coordinate with Property Management and Leasing to assess and minimize legal risk and resolve legal disputes Provide daily legal support to all Departments. All other duties as assigned.
Background Required:
Bachelors degree required Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved school required Substantial law firm or in-house experience as a real estate paralegal preferably in litigation and/or commercial landlord/tenant law Strong PC skills, including MS Office, MS Word, iManage, Excel and redline For immediate consideration email your resume to Thyra at thyra@southwestaccountingresources.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
