Job Summary The primary function of a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) is to assist with instruction. GTAs have the latitude to make independent decisions, use judgment and exercise discretion when dealing with student matters. The main purpose and responsibility of GTAs is to impart knowledge or training to students at Wichita State University.
Required Education Bachelor's Degree
Additional Requirements Must be a student in the College of Engineering.
Required Experience To be eligible for an assistantship, students must be admitted to a degree program in either full or conditional standing. Students admitted on probation or placed on academic probation following admission may be eligible for assistantship awards under certain circumstances.
Physical Requirements Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
