About this Position
This position provides critical administrative support to the School of Accounting (SOA) in the Spears School of Business (SSB), serving as a resource for SOA faculty, students, and external stakeholders. The Administrative Support Specialist must be a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a strong growth mindset. They are responsible for facilitating events and activities in the SOA and various SOA administrative functions that allow the SOA to function effectively.
Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) 1 year of clerical/customer service experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience. Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Ability to accomplish tasks without supervision; strong managerial, organizational, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated initiative; attention to details; interest in learning new skills and proficiencies; ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities; demonstrated professional oral and written communications skills; service-oriented attitude; ability to collaborate, as appropriate, to achieve quality results; proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's in Business Management, Communications, or related degree area Three to five years administrative assistance in higher education
