Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will be heavily involved in the Company’s financial forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. They will provide strategic support to senior management including helping with board presentations, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities and other projects as requested by senior management. Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances Develop and maintain budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools Quarterly and monthly financial reports Ad-hoc reporting and analysis Work with a business intelligence tool to create dashboard reports Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial information to management for decision making purposes Supporting senior management team with in-depth analysis Assist in the preparation of presentations to Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field. Three or more years of FP&A experience. Project based accounting and manufacturing accounting experience required Certified Public Accountant or MBA preferred Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements: This position may require a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of financial statements and financial statement analysis Can interpret financial data contained in reports and ledgers. Work in a high energy, high volume, rapidly changing environment. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and achieves results. Able to tackle complicated issues by evaluating information gathered and organized to arrive at an outcome. Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved. Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms. Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office). Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Maintains confidentiality while processing and handling confidential information with discretion. Recovers quickly from setbacks and maintains professional composure. Can handle frequent interruptions and can multi-task. Creates a work environment that promotes and encourages team members’ participation to attain common and individual objectives. Leadership and management skills with a proven ability to coordinate employees, teams, and departments with different skills and backgrounds. Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers. Work Conditions: Indoor. Office environment. Temperature controlled. Exposure Types: No adverse environmental conditions expected. Work Hours: Standard work schedule, overtime may be necessary for meeting deadlines, required travel, and emergent conditions. Travel Requirements: This position may involve travel up to 20% of the time. Physical Demands: Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
