Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will work within the Commercial Accounting group, responsible for daily accounting operations across our commercial portfolio, including retail, office, condominium, restaurant, and experiences areas. The role involves internal and external management reporting, ensuring debt and partner compliance, and collaborating with teams such as operations, lease administration, treasury, and IT. The key responsibilities include: Financial reporting, daily and period-end accounting activities Performing general ledger financial analysis and account reconciliations Cash management and cash flow analysis Preparing annual year-end projections Analyzing monthly and year-to-date budget variances Producing high-quality monthly and quarterly reports for companywide use Collaborating with finance and senior leaders The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives under tight deadlines. The position reports to the Controller and is based in New York. Responsibilities

Assist in daily accounting activities and transactions Review and analyze the general ledger and financial statements; prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP Prepare monthly bank reconciliations Conduct financial statement analysis for management, partners, and owners Collaborate on monthly cash flow forecasting Prepare invoices for management fees, rent, and expenses Assist with utility true-ups and other adjustments Compile detailed monthly, quarterly, and year-end work papers Support the preparation of annual audited financial statements and tax filings Assist in budgeting and quarterly forecasts Create reporting templates and perform analysis using Excel, Hubble, JD Edwards; participate in process improvements Support special projects as needed Compensation

$80,000 - $110,000 annually Performance-based annual bonus Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting 2+ years of real estate experience; CPA preferred Public accounting experience is a plus Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles Excellent communication skills Analytical mindset Professional maturity, sound judgment, interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Knowledge of JDE is advantageous Ability to multitask, work independently, and pay attention to details Related Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
