Corporate Controller - West Palm Beach FL - Commercial Real Estate

Our team is working with a leading mixed-use REIT based in West Palm Beach to hire a Corporate Controller for their growing team. The Controller will lead various teams in financial reporting, daily and period-end accounting activities, general ledger financial analysis, cash management, cash flow analysis, projections, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team in accurately accounting for building operations and transactions
• Review and analyze the general ledger, financial statements, and journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare financial statement analysis for management and partners on a GAAP basis
• Collaborate on cash flow forecasting with SVP and executives
• Review monthly, quarterly, and year-end work papers and general ledger analysis
• Prepare annual audited financial statements
• Assist with budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Review bank reconciliations
• Create reporting templates and perform analysis using Excel, JD Edwards, and other software
• Participate in process/technology initiatives and assist with special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 10+ years of real estate experience, CPA preferred
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of JD Edwards and Hubble is a plus
