Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Part 107 Flight Operations Support Specialist
to join our team supporting advanced drone delivery operations. This position requires a
current FAA Part 107 certification
and a strong commitment to operational safety, performance, and efficiency. The role involves both direct operational duties and oversight of daily activities to ensure smooth and safe execution of all flight operations within the designated area.
Key Responsibilities
Set up nests prior to the start of operations to ensure readiness for flights. Perform daily aircraft and flight-line checks, including
pre-flight and post-flight inspections , as well as other start-of-day procedures. Conduct standard aircraft maintenance practices as defined in the Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS) maintenance manual. Perform nest equipment and condition checks
before, during, and after operations . Maintain cleanliness and organization within the nest boundary. Replace or reset operational equipment provided by the client as needed. Participate in daily personnel briefs to align on operational plans. Maintain clear, real-time communication with the flight operations center using provided equipment. Respond to assigned field service tasks and resolve minor operational issues in the field. Monitor airspace visually and via air traffic displays to detect and report non-program aircraft or hazards to the pilot-in-command (PIC) or Flight Operations Manager (FOM). Monitor and report hazardous weather conditions and visible obstacles in the operational area. Operate a company-provided light vehicle to transport equipment between sites and assist in the recovery of aircraft as required. Secure all nest equipment and facilities after daily operations are completed. Supervisory and Tier 2 Support
Manage the daily activities of Tier 1 Flight Operations personnel to meet operational requirements. Ensure all Tier 1 operational activities comply with safety and quality standards. Provide quality and safety assurance for team activities across the designated sector. Identify and report performance issues among Tier 1 team members to management. Report equipment deficiencies (nest or crew-related) to management for corrective action. Provide regular availability, performance, and operational updates to management.
Qualifications Required:
Current
FAA Part 107 certification . Strong operational awareness with excellent attention to safety and detail. Clear and effective communication skills. Ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Valid driver's license with ability to operate company-provided vehicles. Preferred:
Previous experience in drone operations, aviation support, or field service. Supervisory or team leadership experience. Familiarity with UAS systems, maintenance, and flight operations protocols.
