Salary Range: $25,889-$36,370 (201 day work agreement)

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED;
Experience as a secretary or equivalent work desirable.
Knowledge of basic office procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge and skill of computer function and operation.
Ability to speak Spanish desirable.
Skills/Aptitudes:
Good organizational ability; good written and oral communication skills; ability to maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding students, staff, parents, and school matters.
Essential Job Responsibilities of Middle School Secretary:
Works cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and administrators. Demonstrates ethical behavior. Follows district policies and administrative rules and regulations. Follows District Code of Conduct policies. Maintains behavior appropriate to performing and accomplishing assigned duties. Maintains a suitable personal appearance as it relates to position. Knows what to do successfully to complete assigned work. Performs tasks to include, but not limited to: typing, filing, receiving, placing and routing phone calls, photo copying and correspondence. Maintains and keeps files current. Assists with and types reports as directed. Gathers, files, and disseminates information as required. Maintains accurate accounting of budget accounts and/or assists with activity accounts, purchase orders and/or requisitions. Receipts all incoming monies. Completes twenty day reporting. Assists with textbook ordering and inventory. Reports fire drills. Processes timesheets for substitutes. Assists with and processes leave requests. Receives visitors to the office and responds to their needs. Assists with absentee and attendance procedure/reports. Processes work orders. Processes transportation requests. Distributes mail. Assists with yearend reports. Tends to injuries/illnesses in the absence of the school nurse until the nurse can take over. Assists with master schedule. Originates and accounts for Activity, Budget, and Booster purchase orders, originates and verifies purchases from General Operational Budget, ability to review and knowledge of purchasing. Submits all leave requests to Central Office. Keeps an accounting of and assists with fire drills, student insurance, faculty activity tickets, supply orders, supplementary textbook orders, and timesheets for support staff. Receipts and deposits yearbook monies and keeps a true and accurate accounting of all yearbook sales. Be available to work odd hours. Performs other job duties as assigned.
