for a leading onshore conventional oil and gas company based in Dallas. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional eager to make a measurable impact on reservoir management and development planning while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
In this critical role, you'll apply advanced reservoir engineering techniques to evaluate field performance, optimize hydrocarbon recovery, and support long-term asset development strategies. We're seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and the ability to deliver actionable insights that shape operational and investment decisions.
What You'll Do:
As a Reservoir Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Reservoir Management:
Conduct detailed reservoir studies to evaluate field performance, estimate reserves, and identify opportunities for increased recovery. Simulation & Modeling:
Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models (black oil and compositional) to forecast production and evaluate development scenarios. Field Development Planning:
Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to design and implement field development plans, including infill drilling, workovers, and secondary recovery projects. Production Optimization:
Analyze well performance data, decline curves, and pressure-transient tests to recommend strategies that maximize production and efficiency. Economic Evaluation:
Perform reserves and production forecasting, prepare economic analyses, and support investment proposals for new projects and acquisitions. Data Integration:
Work closely with geology, drilling, and operations teams to integrate subsurface and surface data for comprehensive decision-making. Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure reserves evaluations meet SEC and SPE-PRMS standards; prepare technical documentation and present findings to management. Continuous Improvement:
Recommend and implement new technologies and workflows to enhance reservoir characterization and recovery efficiency. Requirements
