Temporary And Full-Time Guest Service Agent

The Residence Inn Big Sky/The Wilson Hotel in Big Sky, MT, is looking for a temporary and full-time Guest Service Agent. Responsibilities include greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests. You will also make and confirm reservations, make changes to room reservations, and receive and collect payment. Additional duties include providing wake-up calls, issuing room keys, posting charges to room folios, keeping records of guest occupancy, answering telephones, taking messages, addressing complaints, and reporting problems to other departments. Basic administrative duties associated with being a front desk clerk are also required. Three months of experience is required, and no education requirements are specified. The job involves standing and moving throughout the front office, exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 15 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Occasional twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling are also part of the job. On-the-job training is provided. The hourly rate is $19.00, with an overtime wage rate of $28.50. Overtime is available but not guaranteed. The general schedule is 40 hours per week, with workdays varying from Sunday to Saturday. The specific shifts are 7:00am-3:30pm, 11:00am-7:00pm, or 2:00pm-10:30pm. Applicants may be offered a higher wage rate based on experience or merit. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and will pay bi-weekly. All deductions required by law will be made from workers' paychecks. Optional housing accommodations are provided if relocating for the position and not within reasonable transport to the jobsite. If employer-arranged housing is utilized, the worker will be deducted approximately $850 per month plus utilities and a security deposit. If relocating for the position, the cost of transportation and subsistence to the place of employment will be reimbursed if half of the employment period is completed. Return transportation and subsistence will be provided if the employment period is completed or if dismissed early. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees that are to the benefit of the employer. All tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job will be provided at no charge. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period.
