The
Operations Manager, Plastic Injection Molding
delivers management, technical and plastic injection manufacturing process expertise in support of the organization's strategic plan, recommending key investment tactics focused on innovation, enhanced plant efficiency and higher quality products.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Provides technical expertise and leadership with respect to the investment in plastic injection equipment, manufacturing process methods, and management of the Molding Operations. Investigates and recommends capital equipment, process techniques, materials, workforce capabilities and staffing that create efficiencies, reduce cost, and ensure product reliability. Provides leadership, training, mentoring, coaching and performance management for the Molding and Tooling Operations team. Focuses on employee engagement and produces a high performance, quality driven, and engaged workforce. Supports Engineering and New Product Development needs and projects by engaging in cross functional teams that design, test and evaluate alternative products, processes, or materials. Creates a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing techniques. Leads and participates in continuous improvement initiatives covering all areas of control. Develops relationships with third party suppliers to ensure quality of product and continuous operations.
What you will need to succeed:
Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering, Management, Industrial Technology or Industrial Engineering or comparable work experience. 10 or more years of industry relevant production experience. Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management. Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others in a positive, engaging manner. Knowledge of business and management principles and practices. Knowledge of human resource principles and practices. Knowledge of project management principles and practices. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience developing and engaging others and creating high performance team. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Compensation:
