Pay Information $1,874 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred. Patient ratio experience: 4 patients per nurse. Charting system experience with Epic required. Travel experience is necessary. Prefer candidates with Trauma Level I or II experience. Description: Unit operates on a weekend schedule with every other weekend required. No call responsibilities. Floating within the facility may be required based on scope of practice. Minimum experience of two years is required; first-time travelers are not accepted. Candidates must have ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications. Core competencies include arterial line management, central line care, and continuous IV sedation. Candidates should have skills in interpreting ABGs and dysrhythmias. Knowledge of isolation precautions and management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure is essential. Responsibilities also include triaging patients and caring for ventilated patients. Daily census averages 265 patients with a total of 70 beds available. Interdisciplinary support is available, including rehabilitation services, radiology, and social services. Travelers are expected to work major holidays within the assignment period. Compliance with all documentation is required to ensure a timely start. Two supervisory references are recommended at the time of application. Holiday requests will be reviewed based on policy.
