Cyber Security Engineer

At Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission System's Cyber Resiliency organization, we are dedicated to engineering and deploying cutting-edge cyber defense solutions across our corporation. Our focus on cybersecurity is paramount to ensuring mission success for our customers, even in the face of evolving cyber threats. As a member of our team, you will be involved in a variety of activities aimed at enhancing the cyber resiliency of the USSF Space Fence System radar. This includes tasks such as: Hardening operating systems, applications, and network devices Conducting vulnerability scans Continuous monitoring of the security posture of the system Assisting with Government Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E) and Vulnerability Testing Implementing security updates and patches Applying configuration changes to ESS, ACAS, and SolarWinds security tools Providing support to maintain the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of the system to include support of the RMF package Supporting system administrators, engineers, and operators when troubleshooting events Collaboration with system stakeholders to ensure the cybersecurity posture of the system is maintained Interfacing with and supporting the ISSO and other government security stakeholders Please Note: This position requires a government Secret security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. This position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S. Travel Requirements include: Travel to and work in person at Moorestown NJ - SFS Systems Integration Laboratory Travel to Space Operations Center, Eglin AFB Site C6 FL Potential travel with US Passport to Sensor Site 1, Kwajalein Atoll, Royal Marshall Islands. As part of our team, you will collaborate with a cross functional team of technical professionals including software and systems engineers and radar operators to maintain the cybersecurity posture of the Space Fence Radar System. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to contribute their skills and expertise to our mission. You should have: Demonstrable experience in cybersecurity administration or systems administration, whether gained through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team are essential. A solid working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems and have an active CompTIA Security+ certification or higher IAT Certification. Ability to obtain a US Secret Security or higher level Clearance. Having experience with ESS, ACAS, or SolarWinds security tools is a plus, as well as experience with Windows Active Directory and a familiarity with DISA STIGs. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Cyber Security or related field and 2 years related professional service or related Masters degree with no experience. Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience. Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems. Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or CISSP) Ability to obtain an Secret DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a Security Clearance requires US citizenship. Must hold a valid US passport. Ability to travel up to 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S. and internationally. Desired Skills: Tenable Security Center, Tenable Nessus, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administration experience ACAS scanning Trellix and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) administration and monitoring SolarWinds tools experience Linux/Red Hat or Windows OS certifications Experience with Windows Active Directory Familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) Troubleshooting as a systems administrator Good organizational and coordination skills Strong communication skills and ability to support and collaborate with a team Critical thinking skills to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
