Cyber Security Engineer
At Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission System's Cyber Resiliency organization, we are dedicated to engineering and deploying cutting-edge cyber defense solutions across our corporation. As a member of our team, you will be involved in a variety of activities aimed at enhancing the cyber resiliency of the USSF Space Fence System radar. This includes tasks such as: hardening operating systems, applications, and network devices; conducting vulnerability scans; continuous monitoring of the security posture of the system; assisting with Government Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E) and Vulnerability Testing; implementing security updates and patches; applying configuration changes to ESS, ACAS, and SolarWinds security tools; providing support to maintain the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of the system to include support of the RMF package; supporting system administrators, engineers, and operators when troubleshooting events; collaboration with system stakeholders to ensure the cybersecurity posture of the system is maintained; interfacing with and supporting the ISSO and other government security stakeholders. Please Note: This position requires a government Secret security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. This position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S. Travel Requirements include: travel to and work in person at Moorestown NJ SFS Systems Integration Laboratory; travel to Space Operations Center, Eglin AFB Site C6 FL; potential travel with US Passport to Sensor Site 1, Kwajalein Atoll, Royal Marshall Islands. You should have demonstrable experience in cybersecurity administration or systems administration, whether gained through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team are essential. You should have a solid working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems and have an active CompTIA Security+ certification or higher IAT Certification. You should also be able to obtain a US Secret Security or higher level Clearance. Having experience with ESS, ACAS, or SolarWinds security tools is a plus, as well as experience with Windows Active Directory and a familiarity with DISA STIGs. Basic Qualifications: Related Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master's Degree with 3+ year or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience. Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems. Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or CISSP). Ability to obtain an Secret DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a Security Clearance requires US citizenship. Ability to travel up to 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S. Must hold a valid US passport. Desired Skills: Tenable Security Center, Tenable Nessus, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administration experience; ACAS scanning; Trellix and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) administration and monitoring; SolarWinds tools experience; Linux/Red Hat or Windows OS certifications; experience with Windows Active Directory; familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG); troubleshooting as a systems administrator; good organizational and coordination skills; strong communication skills and ability to support and collaborate with a team; critical thinking skills to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
