Cyber Defense Developer

We're looking for a Cyber Defense Developer with at least seven years of experience to join a dynamic team developing cutting-edge solutions that support critical federal systems. You'll work with modern tools, collaborate with top-tier engineers, and help shape the future of secure technology. Responsibilities include analyzing user needs to design software that meets performance and functionality goals, debugging and enhancing existing software to improve reliability and efficiency, recommending improvements to documentation and development standards, designing and coding new features or modifying existing software for evolving requirements, integrating legacy systems into modern environments, developing and optimizing data queries for current and future datasets, writing and reviewing technical documentation to support development and deployment, leading development efforts as needed, designing and implementing complex database interfaces and queries, developing algorithms that meet or exceed system performance benchmarks, assisting in creating and executing test procedures for software components, collaborating with users and system engineers to analyze workflows and solve problems, modifying software to adapt to new hardware or improve performance, and using scientific analysis and modeling to predict and measure design outcomes. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, with four years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, and seven years experience as a software engineer is required. Skills include proficiency in C++, experience with Windows and/or Linux platforms, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Required skills include two or more years developing applications using languages like C, C++, C#, Java, or Python, two or more years developing for Windows or UNIX environments, experience with DevOps tools (Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Packer), and one or more years working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and building automated pipelines.
