Software Engineer
You will be a Software Engineer for the Rapid Prototyping Development Simulation (RPDS) team. Our team is responsible for delivering Man-in-the-Loop simulation software which include low-to-medium fidelity models and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) capabilities to support the Advanced Development Program and F-35 Lines of Business. As a Software Engineer on the RPDS team, you will responsible for the design, development, integration, test and deployment of effects-based simulation software. Your responsibilities will include: Working as a member of an Agile/Scrum team to plan and implement effects-based simulation software capabilities. Designing and developing Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) capabilities using C++ and object oriented techniques Integrating and testing software in Man-in-the-Loop simulation systems This position requires a complete understanding and wide application of software requirements, design, development, integration, and verification principles and concepts. This position offers the opportunity to travel within the United States. There are times where you may need to work a flexible schedule to support lab development and integration activities to meet program needs. You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in STEM discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering preferred) C++ programming experience Experience developing and/or integrating simulation software systems. Desired Skills: Five or more years of experience in C++ programming and Object-Oriented Design techniques. OpenGL experience Experience with Linux operating systems Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodologies Software development experience in one or more of the following: - Man-in-the-loop simulation systems - PVI (pilot vehicle interface) - Navigation/Sensors (CNI, INS, GPS, Radar, EOTS, DAS) - Weapons and Munitions Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Strong problem-solving skills Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
