This role requires hybrid work, with in-office attendance 3 days a week. The position can be based in any of the following AXIS office locations: Alpharetta, GA; NYC; Red Bank, NJ. Key Responsibilities: Exercise critical thinking, proper judgment, and decision-making in a best practices claim environment to analyze claims, determine appropriate actions, and pursue claims to conclusion. Set accurate and timely claim reserves; escalate to senior team members when necessary. Review policies and policy wordings to validate coverage; escalate issues as needed. Prepare coverage positions for review and approval by the Claim Manager. Work closely with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and brokers to ensure top-tier claim service, escalating issues appropriately. Document claim notes, store electronic documents, and record claim details promptly and effectively. Develop knowledge of legal frameworks and claims practices relevant to jurisdictions involved. Monitor and investigate claims, developing resolution strategies. Attend mediation, arbitration, and other claim meetings as required. Participate in presentations and discussions with Underwriters. Validate indemnity and fee payments, monitor claims bordereaux, ISO searches, and reporting. Ensure accurate file setup with proper coding, LOB, Danger Signal, and CAT Codes. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Claims adjuster license required; valid licenses in required states and additional states as needed. 3-5 years of general liability claim adjusting experience or equivalent. Experience handling commercial general liability claims with insurers, brokers, or loss adjusters. Comfort with remote and virtual work platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of performance metrics and KPIs. Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SharePoint preferred. Availability for occasional travel. Positive, flexible, organized, and efficient team player.
