Pay Information $2,624 per week About The Position Job Title: MedSurg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, including travel experience License: Must have a current compact or state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Proficiency in EPIC - Experience with neurology/stroke patients within the past 2 years - Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:7 Description: Chesapeake offers beautiful surroundings, known for its outdoor activities and access to various waterways. Candidates must be prepared to float, work weekends, and cover holidays as needed. Patient care includes telemetry interpretation and IV starts. Experience with accessing ports, blood product administration, and managing chest tubes is required. Nurses should be knowledgeable in the management of dysrhythmias and have experience with various types of oxygen delivery. Care will involve patients of adult and geriatric age groups. The daily census is approximately 28 patients in a 30-bed unit. Interdisciplinary support is provided, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
