Senior Network Engineer

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance. This Lockheed Martin Senior Network Engineer position will support military Space Programs. This position receives day-to-day operations guidance from program staff and will report to the FBM IS Classified IT Ops Manager. Responsibilities include designing and planning network communications systems, providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture, and conducting testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Basic Qualifications: An active Top Secret Security clearance is required prior to starting. IAT Level II 8140/8570 Compliant Certification (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching. Experience with configuring and managing network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as troubleshooting and analyzing network issues. Desired Skills: Knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies. Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF. Network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. Firewall knowledge in Juniper and Palo Alto. Knowledge of SDWAN, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs. Knowledge of multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco) and TACLANEs. Excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
