The Co-Op Safety Risk Management will be based in Atlanta Georgia. This position will support the Manager Corporate Ground Safety Initiatives and will gain hands-on experience managing program elements associated with Barrier Risk Management. This position will be directly responsible for data entry and analysis of risk data. This position is heavily focused on managing a wide range of operational risk and the successful candidate will be exposed to processes that allow a global carrier to effectively determine the risk across a broad spectrum of operational activities. This position may require some travel. The successful candidate will practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution. At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale. Must be available to work on a full-time basis for 3 alternating semesters: Spring and Fall 2026, and Summer 2027. This position requires student to work for 3 alternating semesters. Student cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op/Intern at the same time, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters. Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op. Working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce. Have a strong command of all Microsoft Suite products and internet applications. Be able to effectively communicate information (verbal and written) and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.
