Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will take on more advanced accounting tasks, including full reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements. This role will work closely with management to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Maintain the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries. Perform full reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, balance sheet accounts, and inter-company transactions. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and properly supported. Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and reconciliations. Monitor accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Collaborate with the Controller and accounting team to improve processes and internal controls. Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and management reporting. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 24 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments. Competitive salary based on experience.
