Job Requirements: Heartland Technology Group Description: This position is responsible for providing assistance with the organization and movement of inbound and outbound materials in the plant to ensure goals are being achieved with safety, quality, and productivity in mind. Most of this work is done using a Forklift (80% of the time), for stocking and maintaining inventory. Familiarity with RF scanners and comfort using manufacturing computer programs (Panatrack, Starship, GP, etc.) is needed. Essential Functions: Assist with unloading and loading trailers. Review inbound deliveries and outbound orders to determine required dates, items required, and/or any other specific requirements. Complete verification of materials to ensure that materials received, stored, or shipped are free of damage, correct items, and correct quantities required. Utilize manufacturing programs (Panatrack, Starship, GP, etc.) to complete receiving and/or shipping transactions within the Heartland inventory system. Utilize hand and/or powered lift trucks to organize warehouse, put items away, and pull items as needed. Ensure each warehouse remains within 5's standards. Remove unused items, skids, etc. and return to appropriate areas in warehouse. Empty garbage and Gaylord's. Maintain and oversee inventory processes and inventory systems, providing locational and quantitative accuracy of the inventory to support manufacturing processes. GuAssist the Materials Team as needed. Other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications: Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions. Skills & Abilities: Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Experience: One (1) year of manufacturing experience Computer Skills: Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). Certifications & Licenses: Forklift preferred. Other Requirements: Knowledge of LEAN and/or Six Sigma processes is a plus. Mechanical Aptitude is a must.
